Walking Netball with Christchurch Netball Centre

CNC's Walking Netball is an adapted programme designed especially for participants who:

Have had a break from the sport and are interested in beginning to play again

Are recovering from injury

Want to learn to play for the first time

Walking Netball is played year-round, outside of school holidays.

The first session in 2024 will be held on Wednesday 7 February.

Christchurch Netball is currently seeking court hire sponsors for Walking Netball, to cover the cost of venue use.

Christchurch Netball Centre Walking Netball Rules

Rules are:...

- Participants must be over 18 years of age
- No running or jumping
- One foot must be on the ground at all times
- Player can hold the ball for up to 4 seconds
- Maximum of three males on courts at any one time - one in the defence circle area, one in the mid-court area and one in the shooting circle area.
- All other standard netball rules apply
- 4 x 10 minute quarters (some flexibility depending on numbers on the night)
