CNC futureFERNS for Year 1-2 begins in October. Developing netball skills and physical literacy.

We invite families with children in Years 1-2 to participate in the 2024/25 season, beginning on the week of 13 October.

Grow netball skills and motivation while having fun with friends in a supportive team environment.

Time: Sundays 10-11am

Dates: Oct 13, 20, 27 | Nov 3, 10, 17, 24 | Dec 1

Location: Ngā Puna Wai, 21 Augustine Dr Wigram 

Cost: $88 per child 

Duration: Eight week programme

What to expect | CNC futureFERNS Year 1-2 2024

Each session consists of fundamental movement and skills that is helpful for Year 1-2 to get a grasp on the netball game. 

Then it is followed by a modified netball game in teams of 4 which creates an emphasis on equal participation.

CNC futureFERNS progresses players through modified formats of Netball, meeting their needs to ensure lifelong participation. The aim is to develop their Netball skills and ‘physical literacy’ through the provision of quality experiences, support and opportunities.
