Netball rule of the month: Obstruction


The rule!

Obstruction: An opposing player may attempt to intercept the ball or defend a player in possession of the ball, provided there is a distance of not less than 0.9 m (3 ft) from the landing position of the player with the ball.

The distance is measured from the grounded foot of the player with the ball to the foot closest of the defending player.
