Christchurch Netball Centre's project to build an indoor sports facility in the city is still very much on track.

Our current focus is talking to our netball community about how they see our sport operating in the next 10 years. We are totally committed to factoring their views into the design of the proposed indoor centre. We would like to thank those who have attended the ' Share an Idea' workshop sessions so far. A final workshop will be held on 30 October.

We have been in ongoing discussions with the Council and appreciate their support for this proposal, including the proposed loan.

We are continuing to finalise funding for the proposed indoor centre which will include applications to funding agencies as well as a public fundraising campaign. We have set ourselves a target of $20 million and we will do all we can to raise the funding for the facility.  At this stage it is too early to say whether we will need to downsize the facility until we know the outcome of our funding requests which includes a loan from the Council.
